BORN APPROXIMATELY DECEMBER, 2008 RESCUED MARCH, 2009
This now very happy little darling, was found in early March 2009, probably having only days left to survive. Her emaciated condition was so advanced and due to her inability to even swallow, her organs had begun to shut down; it was the emergency care that she immediately received which pulled her through.
What a gorgeous little kitty she has blossomed into. It was amazing to see her transformation from when she first arrived (photo #3) to become a beautiful and gentle Maine Coon which at first sight was somewhat difficult to identify. She now runs about non-stop, as if she is catching up on all her lost kitten-time, when kittens play endlessly, the time she should have been having fun rather then merely trying to survive.
MIIA'S FOEVER HOME SHOULD BE... After 9 months at our shelter MIIA's personality has blossomed. We can see now why she may have been in the predicament of near-death when she was found... MIIA is a hi-energy kitty who is an ESCAPE ARTIST, the best we've seen yet. So, for her safety and longevity, we are looking for an apartment forever home where she will remain indoors.
We also think she will do best in a home with adults only and she would also benefit by having another kitty to keep busy with.
