My story

Hello, my name is Chelsea! I am a 12-month-old Spaniel Terrier mix weighing in at 49lbs. I am heartworm negative, updated on shots/vaccines, and spayed.

I spent my 12 months of life chained and only had 5’ to roam around. Nobody ever came out to play with me, and the only shelter I had was a wire crate. I had other dogs chained around me, but we never touched. One day some nice people came and brought me a house and straw to stay warm. My owner decided he did not want me anymore and decided to surrender me.

My foster came, on February 7th, to get me off the chain. I didn’t have a name, so she decided Chelsea would be my name. When I got to her house, she took the collar off my neck and threw it in the trash. My neck was raw from the tight collar I had on, but I took antibiotics, and it’s getting better day by day.

I go to work with my foster every day and play with many people. I love humans and am dog-friendly as well. I am crate trained and housebroken. I love to run and play with my foster and everybody at work. I am very gentle, even when I take treats from your hand. I want to spend all my time next to my person. I am very loyal and would love to have a real home and family to call my own.
