Hi, hi, hi! I’m Vera and I can’t wait to meet you! Here’s what our life could be like: Every morning I’ll wake up with sleepy eyes and roll over for my morning belly rub. When you get home, I’ll greet you with my perfect “happy smile” and a wagging tail. And when it’s time to go outside, I’ll show you my jumping excitement dance. And when we get back home, we can cuddle on the sofa as close as possible.

When I’m not loving you up, I like laying in the sun or snuggling in blankets. When I’m alone, I’ll hold down the sofa for you. But otherwise I love being outside and doing things with my human. Some of my likes include looking for bunnies and squirrels, squeaky toys, bones, chasing tennis balls and searching the kitchen for leftover crumbs.

I am potty trained and know “sit” and “stay.” Although I’m familiar with the crate, I usually sleep on my dog bed at night. My current foster home doesn’t have other dogs and that is the best situation for me. I just don’t love being around other dogs (I’ve met them and I can co-exist with them but am uncomfortable and tense) and I really prefer my humans best. I also haven’t met cats and am a little nervous around little kiddos so I’d do best in a home with kids over the age of 10yrs old. My main training need is feeling more relaxed on leash! My sweet foster parent is helping me work on my leash reactivity when I see other dogs on my walks (I just get a bit worked up and pull/bark). I have more to learn there, but could we work on it together? I’m eager to learn! And I’d prefer a home with a fenced yard just so I have space to relax without other dogs constantly around.

Are you ready for the best and most loyal snuggle buddy? Please learn more about the adoption process and fill out an application at https://pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-process or contact my friends at PawsCo at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org if you have questions. I look forward to meeting you!
