Meet DARLA! With those big brown eyes and her happy wagging tail, Darla is a lover. About a 4 years old, Darla is a 30-pound Wirehaired Terrier/Shih Tzu mix.
Darla is eager to please and enjoys learning new things every day. She originally came to us from our SECOND CHANCES program and was adopted, but the family had a lot of changes which became overwhelming for Darla. Now our sweet girl is back with us and ready for someone to chill with. Darla has a good level of energy—but she won’t turn down nap time either and she prefers to be the only dog. A perfect day for Darla? Playing fetch outside in the sunshine with her human companions! Darla is a spayed female, housebroken, and up to date on all vaccinations. Can YOU be Darla’s napping & fetching companion?
The SECOND CHANCES program was a partnership with Bonaparte’s Retreat and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office. We provided rescued shelter dogs and the Sheriff’s Office selected female offender animal handlers/trainers to live with, love, train, socialize, groom, and prepare the dogs for forever homes.
