Meet HAP!

Hap as in Happy! Hap may have had a sad beginning but his true happy nature revealed itself in no time. We rescued this sweetheart of a gentleman from the shelter when we discovered he was terribly underweight with protruding rib and hip bones, and suffering from severe ear infections, poor skin and coat, and other ailments. We weren't certain we had rescued him in time. But the vet pronounced him a chow-hound after determining there was no medical reason for his emaciated condition. She concluded that, sadly, his condition was due to neglect and lack of food. This 7-to-8-year-old sweet Black lab mix may have once suffered neglect...but no more. He is happily on the mend having been neutered, receiving treatment for his ears, and given nutritious and delicious food.

A real happy-go-lucky dog, Hap’s tail never stops wagging and he has a constant smile on his face. He’s a great leash walker, loves everyone, enjoys a nice massage, and never met a ball he didn’t like. He’s a frequent visitor to the doggie swimming pool, too. This handsome boy deserves the best home ever for the rest of his life. And he’ll will repay you with dog love every single day.

Hap is a neutered male Black Lab mix, weighing about 60 lbs, but gaining steadily and may reach 75 lbs. Fully vetted, up to date on all vaccinations, and housebroken. He really is just about the perfect dog.
