Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet DEBO! At 27-30 lbs and just about 6 months old, sweet Debo is still growing. Her black and brown brindle coat makes her a real beauty. And she might just be the smartest dog you'll ever meet. Debo’s trainers Laura and Brandy report that she’s learned basic commands in record time…she’s that smart! She’s playful and energetic, especially outside, loves playing with other dogs and is learning to fetch. She’s gentle and loving with her people—but since she’s still a puppy, she needs to learn how to play with other dogs without jumping on them first. Debo is a special and happy girl with a positive disposition. She’s sharp, attentive, and responsive, which means she’s eager to learn. She knows how to leash walk, and is learning new things every day. Why? Because...Debo is a SECOND CHANCES dog. What is a SECOND CHANCES dog, you ask? Bonaparte’s Retreat has partnered with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office and its SECOND CHANCES program. We provide rescued shelter dogs and the Sheriff’s Office selects female inmate animal handlers/trainers to live with, love, train, socialize, groom, and prepare the dogs for forever homes. A SECOND CHANCES dog will already have learned many commands and how to live in a home. These really are just about the perfect dogs!May 2, 2024, 1:55 pm
