My story

The epitome of idle living. Gustavo can be easily fulfilled with a good siesta and a hamburger. As long as this boy gets 5 minutes of playtime, he can spend the rest of his days lounging about or eating. He is big on hugs. Affectionate to every being he meets. Including DOGS! Take him out on a date to University Draft House. This guy won't tire of attention or burgers. Just don't take his food. He prefers not to share.

More about this shelter

Palm Valley Animal Society (PVAS) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit animal welfare organization operating out of two facilities in Edinburg, TX and providing services for six municipalities in Hidalgo County, as well as the county at-large. PVAS serves approximately 30,000 animals on behalf of 750,000 residents each year, and is working to reach “no-kill” status, broadly defined as saving 90% or more of the animals that enter our care.

PVAS accepts all stray and surrendered companion animals regardless of age, health, or breed, making us the largest intake facility in Hidalgo County, and one of the largest intake facilities in the nation.
