My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nugget is the sweetest, cutest little old lady cockatiel who is just looking for a loving home to retire and spoil her. She prefers to be a hands-off bird but ADORES being near people and wants your company as often as possible. She will call to you when you leave the room and prefers to be a part of things. She has begun to explore new foods with her lovely foster, even if that means throwing it out haha. We’re not sure if she’ll want to open up to hands or shoulder time in the future so we’re looking for a home to meet her where she’s at without expectation. She may decide one day she wants to cuddle but she may enjoy her retirement as she is as well. 
Unfortunately, we do not have an exact age on Nugget and she is estimated by vets to be an elderly girl, who has had a rough life. We are hoping that during her golden times she will get all the spoiling she deserved to make up for a lifetime and all the love she could want. Will you spoil Nugget for her final years? Nugget would like to stay in a medium to large cage, she has been working her way up to having more room and more mobility. She has been building strength over time and slowly likes exploring having more room. She was kept in a small cage for much of, if not all of her life prior to coming to us so changes have been made at her pace during her recovery. She has completed her vet check-up and would like to see if her family is out there waiting for her!
