Meet AXLE, a new addition to our NYSRR family.
Axle is a chocolate lab mix, who come from a home environment. His original family already had four small pups but the Dad wanted a big dog so he got Axle. Unfortunately for Axle, Dad had a busy work schedule and his Mom just wasn't a fan of big dogs. As he got older, she left him outside for many hours alone. He so craved the company of humans that he climbed the fence and went to a neighboring home, went through the doggie door (when they weren't home} and had himself a nice nap in their kitchen!! What a surprise that must have been to find this big boy asleep on their kitchen floor!! Our southern partner got a call from the local shelter and off she went to get this boy -
Axle is a happy-go-lucky boy who is very social, handsome, active and friendly- Axle gets along well with the dogs. He absolutely adores car rides.
Axle has all the ingredients be a great family companion: social, friendly, handsome and happy!!
He is still a young dog and has lots to learn - but is eager to please and like most lab mixes will do just about anything for a treat. With some positive reinforcement he will have the basics down fast.
Axle's best fit will be a family that is athletic in nature. and want a dog to join them in their daily pursuits of enjoying exercising!
