My story

***NEEDS FOSTER or FUREVER HOME***
Currently in Jerome boarding kennels

Sweet, friendly and submissive 17 month old male husky with gorgeous, unique eyes. Should do well in any environment with people. We still need to test him with cats and small dogs, the person who transported KAI from Twin Falls had a small dog and said he was very good with the small dog.

KAI was able to spend a day/night in a foster home, but the resident big dogs did not accept him, so he continues to search for his furever family. We learned that he is good on leash and very well-behaved considering his age and breed. KAI learned how to use the dog door in just few hours.

KAI did well at a recent offsite adoption event. He was fine with the other dogs and strangers coming up to him. He enjoyed a chewy in his crate.

BACKGROUND: 3 young husky mixes were found in the middle of the desert west of Balanced Rock. Reports indicate that they were on their own for over a week! When captured, they were hungry and very thin. With no animal shelter to accept them, Dave Wright, Friends Furever Animal Rescue offered to get them into boarding while we search for owners.

Additional adoption info

We require a foster or adoption application to qualify to foster or adopt our animals. We do check your current veterinary reference and landlord approval if renting. The next step is a "meet and greet" with all family members and/or household occupants, and current pets. Upon approval, we offer a "trial adoption" period that allows adopter to make sure of a good fit for both the dog and family. Adoption is final when adoption contract (different from application) is filled out and signed, and adoption fee is paid. Our adoption fees range from $75 - $300 (puppies) currently, but are subject to revision if our veterinary costs rise.
