Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Athena is a 1 1/2 year old Pit-huahua (per her DNA test) She weighs just 25lbs.
She came to us from a hoarding case where over 20 dogs were taken from a property. Like every dog we’ve had from a similar situation, Athena is unsocialized. In the 2+ months she’s been in our care she’s made huge progress and we are very proud of how far she’s come. She needs a home of her own so she can continue to blossom.
Once Athena knows she’s safe and is comfortable in her surroundings she is an extremely loyal and very affectionate companion.
Athena has been spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. She’s crate trained and both dog & cat friendly. She did not come housebroken but has been doing amazing at going outside; she doesn’t go in her crate, she sleeps through the night and as long as you are diligent in taking her out she has no accidents.
In order to thrive in her new home she’ll need the following
- Fenced yard
- A more low-key home
- Adopter who isn’t gone from home for more than 4-5 hours daily
- No kids under age 10
If you fit ALL her needs and want to show this little girl love forever, send us an email inquiry. We do not accept phone call inquiries.
Athena is being fostered in Wesley Chapel, FL. Potential adopters must live within an hour from there.
