We have had Gerald for over a year! His brother Arnold was adopted about a month ago and he is still waiting for his forever home. He does perfectly for nail trims and will sit quietly in your lap once he is comfortable with you. He can play a little hard to get though, but once you have him he is a sweety. He has met other males hoping to find a friend but he is just very laid back and gets bullied by dominant boys. He would do great with a boy that is as chill as he is.
Original bio:
Meet Gerald! He and his brother Arnold was found by a man on the side of the road 2/12/22. Thank goodness he brought them in or they would have frozen in the snow.
They were in a filthy cage that was too small for them and had no food or water. They are in good health and are learning that not all people are bad. They are estimated to be about 1.5 years old. They are looking for their forever home and can be adopted together or separately. Arnold started being not so nice to Gerald so they now live in enclosures beside each other because they are happier not sharing their space together.

More about this rescue
We are a 501(c)(3) rescue and all donations are tax deductible
NBARR was originally established in the year 2000. We have strived to care for those who can not care for themselves, from hamsters all the way up to horses. We take in all domesticated animals, healthy or injured as long as we have a foster home available to care for them.
NBARR also works with many shelters and other rescues to help rehabilitate less adoptable animals that may stress in a shelter environment.
The entire rescue has been primarily funded by it's owner, Ashley Costello.
