My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Fred!

Fred is a gorgeous 80 pound, two-year-old neutered male with chocolate brown eyes and a beautiful soft black coat. Fred is a simple man that just wants two things in life: cuddles and food.

Fred loves to help out in the kitchen by always being at your side in case the smallest of morsels shall dare to dirty your floor! Not to worry though, he respectfully sits and waits for his bowl of food at mealtimes, and always licks the bowl clean.

Treats are the way to Fred’s heart and the cornerstone of his training with his foster mom. She uses them when reviewing simple commands like sit and stay, and sometimes just because he’s so HANDSOME!

Fred enjoys starting his day with a walk on the leash and is working on not pulling. He’s made great strides in learning what to expect when out walking and is doing better at containing his excitement for new smells. Fred is very friendly with other dogs, but he has yet to meet a cat in his foster home that will allow him to get close enough to see how he’ll react.

This handsome guy is currently in a foster home with two elementary-aged kids and he loves them dearly. Due to his size and magnificence, we'd recommend kids 10 and up in his future home. Fred likes to smother them with cuddles before bed and is always excited to watch over them when they play in the yard. He has shown great interest in the foster’s backyard pool and is learning how to play fetch, but isn’t great at bringing the ball back. That part seems to escape him!

Fred is crate trained, potty trained, vaccinated, and microchipped. If you think Fred will fit into your family apply at luckylabrescue.com
