Major is a Maltese/Poodle mix, almost 2 yrs old and weighs about 25 lbs. He was an owner surrender to our group. The owner bought him from a breeder to give to her parents who did not want the dog. She kept him crated and isolated from people and other dogs so he had no socialization experience from the time he was a puppy.
Major has been with our trainer for 6 months to work on his behavior and he is doing well. However, he MUST be adopted into a home with a very experienced dog owner, someone who can continue the training and be a leader for him. He cannot be allowed to sleep in the owner's bed. He is best suited in an adult only home but can be with other dogs if introduced properly. NO CHILDREN.
Major does know some obedience commands like sit, stay, shake and drop it. He does love to play with toys and is a very high energy boy, so will do best in a home with an active individual. Come to our adoption event and meet the dog you are interested in adopting or fill out our adoption application.

Submit Application
After you've met the dog then you fill out our adoption application. If your application is approved we'll let you know.

Approve Application
If your application is approved then we set up the home check adoption.
4.
Home Check
Then there is a home check that is when we bring the dog to the new home and if everything looks safe we leave the dog.

Pay Fee
At the home check that is when you pay the adoption fee.
