My story

Say hello to Trina! Trina is a 2-year-old, spayed, female, pit bull mix, and weighs approximately 60lbs. Trina came to the shelter as a stray on January 30th, 2022. Trina is a sweet, smart, spunky girl, who gets along great with other dogs, and loves playing with toys. Trina has been participating in our Rescue University program which allows her to get a little training under her collar & has really wowed the trainers she has met with her quick learning & eagerness to please. At training she worked on sit, down, and shake. Trina`s adoption fee has been generously sponsored, to adopt this awesome girl it will just cost $25.00 for a 2022 license!

If you`re interested in adopting or fostering Trina, head down to the shelter to meet her today! You`ll fill out an application to foster or adopt and take your dog home the same day. We do adoptions & fosters Monday-Friday from 11:00AM-5:30PM, & Saturday-Sunday 11:00AM-4:30PM. If you have other dogs at home, please make sure to bring proof of rabies vaccination, and proof that they have a current license in your county.

Additional adoption info

If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs....great!! The first step is coming in and meeting the dog in person. If you have any small children or other dogs in the household we do recommend that you bring them in for an introduction. If you are interested we would have you complete an adoption application. We do not require fenced in yards. All dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested and fully vaccinated, and the adoption fee is $125 which also includes a current dog license for Lucas County. We do adopt out of state and to other counties, but the dog would need to leave our facility with a current license. We do hold adoption events and have reduced adoption fees for specials throughout the year. Please check out our FaceBook page for events.
