My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

❤️ Ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-TAA!! PUPPY POWER!! ❤️

Scrappy is a feisty Chihuahua terrier mix (we think?) who's Wish journey started with a foster pick up from animal control on New Years Eve. He's so ready for a loving family of his own that you might hear him using his catch phrase, "Lemme at 'em! LEMME AT 'EM!!" But he's not looking for a fight, just some attention... and maybe some cheese.

Scrappy Dappy Doo/ Little Guy/ Jumping Bean

Age: 1-2 years

Sex: Male

Weight: 9 lbs of non-stop movement

Breed: Chihuahua terrier mix?

PERSONALITY: I'm pretty spoiled by my foster parents who I will run literal circles around if given the chance. I love being outside, but I detest all things wet and cold. My favorite game is keep away... or destroy the squeaky thing! A fenced in yard with no holes or gaps is a must since I am so small and still getting used to life in a home. I currently only go in the yard while leashed. I do love to be held, but quick movements make me a little nervous when I'm first getting to know you. I am also eager to please and benefit from training sessions and consistent reinforcement. I'm a fierce lover and will be extremely loyal to my people when I find them.

I excel at:

Potty Training - I don't mind going outside when it's warm and dry, but I*always* use my potty pads inside.

Making friends with both dogs and cats... I can play rough since I'm still young, so a patient furry friend is best. I have been living with two feline and one canine foster brother.

Learning new things - I know where to go when my foster mom says "Bed" and I'm very smart and highly motivated by treats.

I can be a little stubborn about when I eat because I really want the wet yummy food, but eventually I will eat what I'm given.

HEALTH & GROOMING: My coat is short and sheds quite a bit, but it's easy to maintain. I am up to date on all my vaccinations, neutered and microchipped.

What’s required to make me your Valentine?!

• Love, Food & lots of toys to keep me busy!

• I want to be the best puppy I can be. A training class or private lessons with an approved trainer is a must! I love to learn.

• Patience- I'm new to humans in my world, but once I know I'm safe, my true personality will shine. I'm also still getting used to appropriate play with everyone, but I love to play.

• Someone with no personal space issues - I always need to see my people, know what's going on, and want to be in on the fun... even if the fun is relaxing on the sofa.

The adoption donation for Scrappy is $300.  This donation helps to cover veterinary expenses including spay/neuter, microchip and vaccinations.
