My story

This sweet four year old boyweighing approximately 60 lbs. is looking for a calm, loving home. He is polite, sensitive, smart, and obedient. He is also house and crate trained. We tease him that he is really a lamb in a dog suit.

Loki was rescued from a high kill shelter and found a good home. Sadly, after less than a year, he is looking for another home because his family’s marital situation changed and they could not keep him. They said he was the best dog they ever had. They described him as the sweetest most cuddly precious boy who likes to know where his people are and be close to them. They were very sad neither could keep him.

He is gentle with very good manners. He loves to please his people and receive praise. He enjoys sleeping (and cuddling) on the bed or sofa. He especially loves to find the spot with sunshine. He wants to be close to his people and to know he is safe and loved.

His former owners feel he is best as an only dog because he bonds with his humans, loves going for walks and hanging out in his home and yard. He would mostly ignore other dogs they saw when walking, so it’s not that he reacts to other dogs, but more about him preferring to just be with his people and have a calm, nurturing environment.

He loves chasing and playing ball, playing with squeaker toys, and exploring his foster mom’s large fenced yard. Loves braided bully sticks as a treat.

We are looking for a loving family who like to go for walks and play in their fenced yard. Loki could very likely be a great running partner, too. He rarely barks but will let you know when someone comes to your door or if he would like to go outside.

If Loki could talk he would tell you he just wants to have a calm, loving home where he feels safe and loved. His needs are really very simple. Loki is such a good dog and we just love him.
