My story

Dante is a sweet, goofy boy with a big heart.  He and his sister, Lola, were abandoned as a pair and are very closely bonded (need to go home together).  He enjoys sneaking kisses anytime you get to his level, playing in the yard, and napping with Lola in a sunny spot.

Dante is in good health and does not have damage to his teeth (like Lola).  He will need a trip to the dentist (veterinarian) soon, too, but just for a thorough cleaning!

These two prefer to do everything together - play, take walks, go on car rides, and cuddle up.  They can sometimes be shy in new environments, so they need a stable home with no surprises (visitors, construction, etc) until they can settle in and feel safe.  Dante and Lola have shown interest in playing with other dogs, and they are very curious about cats.  They are sweet and gentle and would do well with calm (no yelling, grabbing) children.

Dante and Lola will take some time to settle in, and then you will find yourself with two sweet, cream-colored shadows with so much love to give.

*Dante needs one more vaccine booster and will be available 3/23/22

Go meet their pets

Want to meet our pets? Our facility is open 7 days a week (minus holiday hours) to view our adoptable animals. If you do not have access to a military installation YOU MUST MAKE AN APPOINTMENT! Please call us at 661-258-9525 or email us apetrescue342@gmail.com at least 48 hours from your planned arrival. We will try our best to accommodate, but we can set up an appointment time that works with both of us if not. We do have events off base often and usually post that on our Facebook page. In addition, we have approximately 6 cats at the Lancaster Petsmart on Valley Central Way at all times.
