Reminder: This is a young dog! Please remember a 15 year lifespan! These are active little ones....yes they will snuggle on your lap but they also run and play and jump...yes that means on chairs to get to your table! They are small and cuddly but if they get scared they will defend themselves which means young children under 10 who move fast and are not able to determine when the dog is scared are probably not a good fit! If you are applying for the dog and are not sure that you will be a fit for the next 15 years then we will ask you to have a plan for the dog should you become unable to care for them.
Meet Tres, a 1-year-old, 6-pound terrier mix. Tres 's previous owner had several dogs and could not care for all of them anymore. So Tres needs to find a new forever home.
Tres still has a bit of puppy in him so keeping him entertained with toys and attention is a bonus. Tres also loves attention and when done exploring he would love to be held and cuddled. Tres is part clown and part love and really cute. In the morning he likes exploring and would enjoy being leashed trained so he could take walks. Tres is house-trained at his foster home but could need a refresher course when placed in his forever home with a new routine.
Tres is patiently waiting for his perfect forever family. Could it be you? Tres's ideal foerver home will be an adult only or one with children over the age of 10. If you are looking for a sweet dog to keep your lap warm and heart full, please complete an adoption application. He is up to date on shots and neutered and microchipped.
Tres’s adoption fee of $350 will help with medical needs of the rescue group. If you are interested in Tres, and live in the Phoenix metro area, please fill out an application at: https://helpadogsmile.org/adoption-application/ * and a volunteer will contact you to see if Tres is a good fit for your home.
*Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Applications are forwarded to the foster family for review and follow-up.
