Hi there, I'm Cammie, a brown and white pit bull who is looking for a forever family. I'm 8 years old, 60 pounds, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. I'm also house, crate, and leash trained, and I know my basic manners.
I'm a sweet, energetic, and playful girl who has been through a lot in my life. I've been let down multiple times by people who didn't care for me, and I've also battled cancer and lost a toe. But I'm a survivor, and I'm ready to start a new chapter in my life with someone who will love me and keep me safe.
I love to run and play, and I have a lot of awesome energy. I also love to cuddle and get attention, and I can be a bit of a diva sometimes. I like other dogs, but I can be selective and spoiled. I prefer a submissive male dog who will let me be the boss. I have not been cat tested, but I can be if you are interested in me. I am great with kids who will play with me.
I'm currently being fostered in Hampton, VA, but I can be transported to another state for the right home. I'm looking for a responsible and committed person who can give me a loving and secure environment. You must be 21 or older to apply for me.
If you think you are the one for me, please fill out an application and let's meet. I promise to be your loyal and fun-loving friend for life.

More about this rescue
Our Mission
Operation Save A Shelter Dog is a foster based, IRS-recognized 501c(3) rescue whose mission is to work with shelters on the East Coast by saving dogs at high risk of euthanasia or that have little hope of adoption in their current condition. Not only is it our goal to find furever homes for our dogs, but also to educate the public on the importance of spaying, neutering, vaccinating and providing preventative care for their pets.
