My story

Meet Nimdy! He has been in our adoption program searching for a forever home since March 2022! We have lowered his adoption fee to $125.

He was found stray and injured and unfortunately, his owners were never found. He's with a great foster that helped him recover and is teaching him new things while he waits for his forever family! Nimdy knows sit, down, come, and rings a bell when he wants to go out.

Nimdy had surgery that repaired a fractured femur and is re-growing fur on that let. Happily he's no longer on restrictions and can be his happy, goofy self! He's made a full recovery!

He's good with other dogs and house/crate trained. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and is heart worm negative

We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at and we will contact you asap about the status of your application.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Adopters will complete an adoption app. If he/she has a pet, we will check their vet reference and a home visit is not needed (as long as the vet reference is current). All pets must be UTD , current on HW prev and S/N. If a home visit is needed we will compele that ASAP--as we don't want any delays in the adoption process. The adoption fee is $200 for dogs ad $250 for puppies. We spend an average of $300 on each dog/puppy, so the adoption fee helps pay for the vetting for future dogs we bring into the program. Their is a 5 day grace period to make sure he/she is a good fit for your family.

Go meet their pets

To meet our pets, contact us about any dog/puppy you are interested in and we'll set up a meeting time/date between the adopter and foster home.
