My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kota was dropped off with two other sisters at a Riverside County shelter when their owner passed away. She was the most frightened by so much change in her life.

With the gentle and patient care she has received in a loving foster home Kota is becoming more confident.

Notes from Kota's foster family:
She loves her people and is a loyal companion.You'll never feel lonely with Kota around for snuggles! She can be a little protective of her humans, snacks, and food so a home with no other animals or one that understands resource guarding management would benefit Kota. While Kota is quick to make friends, she can be intimidated by people bending over her or reaching for her so an adult-only home who can go slow with her and gain her trust would be best. Kota loves going for walks and is housetrained but will also use pee pads if you need to be gone for long periods of time. She also does great in the car! Other than a little white around her muzzle, you'd have no idea she's 10 years old! She's a little gal with a BIG personality and lots of love to give!
