My story

Queenie is ready to find her forever home!

Queenie is an adult, female husky mix. Her age has been estimated between 2-5 years. She was found as a stray, so we can't be certain, but we can tell you she has the playful energy of a 2 year old. She's full grown at a perfect 50 pounds.

This sweet pup has the nicest disposition and absolutely loves all people and dogs. She's always happy, ready to be a part of the action, or ready to snuggle up on the couch with everyone. Her perfect forever home will be a home with a yard and another very playful dog as a buddy. She definitely has some husky traits - she's very vocal and absolutely sheds like a husky. :) A home with knowledge about the breed would be a bonus.

Queenie is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. She is house-trained and crate trained. The past few months, she's gone through extensive testing with her primary vet as well as an internal medicine specialist as she originally had elevated kidney levels. Since being on a prescription diet, all levels have returned within a normal range.

Queenie's adoption fee is $400. For the chance to adopt this sweetie, please complete an application at happytailsaz.org.

More about this rescue

We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation. In July of 2009 we joined together with fellow rescuers on a mission to save a pack of about 30 dogs from the Fort McDowell Casino area and by the end of the year we had rescued over 80 dogs from there! AZ Happy Tails is committed to the rescue and placement of stray, abandoned, and e-listed animals as well. We think all pets deserve caring and compassionate homes, and the chance to live healthy, happy lives in safe environments. We strive to educate and raise awareness of the importance of animal respect and appreciation.
