WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS.
Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog.
We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around the US and Canada, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA.
Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase Quick Pay via Zelle, PayPal, or cash.
Beautiful oh so sweet & so very lovely Fergie, was in a death camp of a scary shelter in CA. She had zero public interest & zero rescue interest on social media but had countless people who wanted her life saved. She was posted looking so defeated & was depressed & just from her picture she did not look well so we knew we had to help her. Yes, it appears at the age of 17 months in the shelter she was going to die which is absolutely unacceptable & disgusting. We rescued this beautiful little lady & 2 other sweet baby dolls out of that same kill shelter who desperately needed help. That day was 1 very sad & joyous day all at the same time. Thank goodness we got her out because if we had not, she would of died just from the pneumonia she had. She was sitting in the shelter suffering from putrid pneumonia with a very bad fever & was truly out of time. She was instantly rushed to our vets where she was immediately given injectables, all the medical care began & we began to pray we got her out in time. Even after weeks of care we were still praying for her to survive. Without her outstanding foster mum this would not of happened.
Fergie who is now looking for her very own forever home & who will never give up on her again & dump her & love her just as her foster mum & we do.
After we got Fergie all her care with her amazing foster mum she will be bought back to WA state from CA where she was a passenger on a wonderful flight with Pet Rescue Piolt’s & got the royal treatment as she was the only dog on this flight. We can’t begin to thank them enough for the outstanding work they do & for helping our beautiful Fergie. Fergie can’t wait to find her loving forever home.
Sweetheart of a lady, how could anyone dump her at the kill shelter is unimaginable. Her foster mum said she is so very sweet & demure for a big dog. Fergie just wants to be loved. Disturbing to think no one wanted her & she was ready to die. The level of absolute madness here is so deeply sad for many of these beautiful souls out of CA kill shelters.
Fergie is a very soft gentle soul, she is so easy her foster mum said considering what she has endured. Her foster mum said she is a little of everything, loves to play with her dog friends, will do her own thing, loves people, takes time out from people & will some times even go play by herself but majority of the time wants to be with her people. She loves everyone she meets & enjoys being cuddled to & given love. Fergie is a good eater, she loves to eat & she is making up for lost time after being so sick with pneumonia.
In Fergie’s new forever home she needs a lot of toys as she loves her toys, her toys her foster mum said she is good with & doesn’t destroy.
Fergie new forever home must have a fully fenced secured backyard for her safety.
Fergie has been great with her baths because she started having them with us the moment she was rescued so she is used to them.
Fergie rides beautifully in the car & enjoys a good journey & still needs continued work walking on his harness & leash. She is a very strong lady & this needs to be remembered. But has done amazing in his foster home & daycare in CA. We are looking for a forever home for Fergie where someone is home during the day or she can go with her people wherever possibly she can go with them & there must be another dog or dogs in the home for her to thrive. Fergie loves other dogs & needs another dog in the home to play with. This is mandatory for her new home. We are also looking for a crate free home for the little lady only. She was left in a cage in the shelter until we rescued her.
Fergie is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love him as she should be loved & be patient with her.
Fergie has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & she is currently with other dogs & was fostered in CA with other dogs & does well with them & enjoys their company. She also was in a daycare in CA & loved playing. It’s mandatory for her to be in a home with playful dogs.
Fergie is roughly just over 21 months old &
63.60 lbs & is perhaps a American pit bull & what she is mixed with we are not sure at all. She is female, treated for pneumonia which she was in the shelter suffering with & would of died from if we did not rescue her. She was so extremely thin, she was treated with countless medications & a tremendous amount of love time & care to get her healthy & well. She had a major blood profile done, another CBC, tested for distemper, was on a home nebulizer when not at our vets. She had a skin scrapping, treated for alopecia, along with we got her spayed by laser. Fergie is, microchipped, heart worm negative, given flea treatment, up to date on her shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed.
We have spent far more on Fergie, with all of her medical care getting her well than her adoption fee comes close to even covering with the pneumonia, getting her spayed by laser, her dental scale & polish, major blood panel, injectable’s, paying her shelter fee to get her out of the shelter, boarding fees in CA which were just under $2000, shots, etc.
We have spent several thousand dollars on saving & rescuing our beautiful Fergie.
Fergie has been around cats since being in the rescue & did well with the cat in her foster home but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together. Just because she did well with the cat in het foster home does not mean she will get along with all cats. We have not had her around small children so we do not recommend small children nor cats & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children.
We were not there when Fergie was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is.
As with all of our rescues & Fergie’s friends she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Fergie potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond.
We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying.
Fergie has been through many traumas in her short time on this earth so when applying this needs to be kept in mind & for her care.
Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Fergie & going through our process and have read her listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Fergie who understands her needs & that meet all the requirements for this spirited little lady.
Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately.
Fergie has an adoption fee of $500 & is ready for her truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what she has been through.
