My story

Hi I'm Blackberry, and I'm the Hide n' Seek world champion! I have a beautiful black coat that helps me blend into shadows and dark corners. But that doesn't mean I won't come out for my favorite treats like banana or hay chews! Like my name implies I can be very sweet, but all of the people and animals at the shelter intimidate a shy girl like me. I am more reserved here, but once I am in a room I am very curious and I love to run around!

Even though I began my life outdoors as a stray, I need to be indoors with a family who loves me. I am spayed and have been doing incredible on potty training. I would do better with a rabbit-savvy family, or a family who is willing to go very slow with me and let me come out of my shell. I am still pretty nervous so I would do better in a home where I don't need picked up, so I would do best in a quieter home with kids who were okay with that. If you've got an area for me to settle in, and a heart open for a sweet girl, put an application in today!

The Humane Society for Southwest Washington uses the following guidelines for adoptions: 1. Adopted animals will be spayed or neutered prior to their adoption. 2. Adopted animals will be placed as companion animals. 3. Adopted animals must be kept in accordance with all local laws and ordinances. 4. All animals leaving the shelter must be wearing identification and restrained by leash or carrier.
