My story

Fast facts about Bean:

~Would be a good pet for someone with breakables.
Never tries to climb tables or counters or eats plants!

~loves to purr and sleep next to you on the couch

~she’s totally silent (no meowing!) but has a great purr
motor

~not afraid of the roomba vacuum

~likes routine

Bean sleeps most of the day. She also plays a bit on her own with toys, or loves to play with your hand under a blanket.

Bean is three years old and would be okay living as a solo pet. She may also do well with another easy going low key feline. She would do best in a quieter home.

We have worked hard to make our adoption process as easy as possible. We like to think of the process in four steps: application, phone conversation, meet and greet and adoption day. We will get back to applicants within a few days even if they were not chosen.

More about this rescue

Paws and Claws Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the Chicagoland area dedicated to preventing, and alleviating the suffering caused by abuse, neglect, and overpopulation. We help dogs and cats mentally and physically heal, and give them a chance to find love, a full life, and a forever home. Our focus is on rescuing orphaned neonatal kittens, nursing kittens with their feral mothers, under-socialized cats, and dogs who have been at Chicago Animal Care and Control for too long. We see ourselves as the crossing guards for these vulnerable animals, helping them get from their past, whether that be from a traumatic home, a kennel, or a euthanasia list, to a safe and kind human who will love them.
