My story

Likes: How she feels now that she has lost so much weight! Perching in high places. Set routines and calming energies. Following her people around. Lounging in her fabulous fluffy pink bed.

Dislikes: Not being fed on time, not sleeping on your bed, dirty litter boxes

Meet Isabella. She is a beautiful kitty with an engaging purrsonality who wants to be your loving friend. She loves to chat, and tell you about her day. She expresses affection by lovingly providing huge head butts and long leg rubs.

Isabella continues to lose weight on her diet and is in good health! She is able to clean herself now, and she has a waist again! She likes to play, running up and down the hallway after toys. And she loves going outside, so she would prefer a place with a fenced in yard. We are so proud of her! She is seeking a home that can help her continue to lose weight with her all-wet food diet and fun exercise.

With her charming demeanour and eagerness to be with you at all times, she would be a wonderful companion for a quiet family.

We are looking for a special home for this very special girl. To meet Isabella, start the process by filling out an online application!

***In order to protect the health of our staff, volunteers and members of the public during the COVID-19 pandemic, we've made changes to our adoption process.

1. Submit an application: spca.bc.ca/adoption/application-forms/

2. Staff will contact the first suitable applicant to arrange a meet & greet!

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office. Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:
The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:
The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst
2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease
3. Freedom from distress
4. Freedom from discomfort
5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
