My story

Hi, my name is COOPER! I am 9 months old and weigh about 65 pounds. I am a playful pup that is goofy, very loving, and super sweet. I even let my little foster sister "beat" me when we play.
I like to think I am a smarty pants, I learn commands really fast! I am still learning, so sometimes I forget that I am big now and I will jump up on my foster parents, so I might not be the best choice for young kids. (Even though I LOVE LOVE LOVE playing with them). I do keep everyone smiling, when I play. I sometimes forget where my feet are and I will get all caught up in them. LOL
I am potty/crate trained, I know some commands and I am learning more every day. I love my foster siblings, which includes three cats. I do get in trouble sometimes for chasing the cats too much. But, when Mom says stop, I do. I am food and praise motivated when I am being trained. I just love running around the yard, playing with my toys and siblings, then dropping like a sack of potatoes to the floor and sleeping. I do believe I am a lap dog, even though my fosters insist I am not. (i think they are totally wrong about that!!) I really want my own home, all of my liter mates have been adopted already and I can't figure out why I was left behind.

Why adoption is a great option

Cooper, a Sumter German Shepherd Dog/Black Mouth Cur dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Black Mouth Cur for sale in Sumter, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Black Mouth Cur dog from a breeder in Sumter.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sumter already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sumter breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Black Mouth Cur breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Black Mouth Cur rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sumter paves the way for another one to be saved.
