My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

GLACIER AND CHIEF HAVE BEEN ADOPTED! Pal's Place would love to introduce you to two extraordinary dogs in need of an exceptional home! Glacier and his brother Chief are 4 years old and are lovable, well-mannered, and affectionate Husky mixes looking for their forever family. These boys share a very special bond, not just because they are littermates. Glacier is blind and relies on Chief to be his seeing-eye dog! They are never far from each other, and if one wanders a bit too far or if they are separated for any reason, they will howl and cry for each other. They were rescued from an overburdened animal control facility in Kentucky and are now in a loving and nurturing foster home in Chicago. It took Glacier a couple of days to learn the layout of his foster home, but with Chief by his side, he figured it out quickly and zooms around as any other dog would now. When introduced to new environments, he'll need a little patience and encouragement, but he's always eager to learn and explore. Glacier can go up and down stairs once he knows where they are and is a very easy, low-maintenance boy. Chief can be timid when meeting new people but warms up quickly. Once Chief warms up, he's an incredibly silly and affectionate dog with a crazy cute underbite! The boys are crate trained and housebroken. They are well-behaved in the home and get along well with other dogs. Glacier and Chief will bring an incredible amount of love and happiness to one lucky household. Please apply to meet them today. They are anxious to meet their new family.

The adoption fee for the pair is $500. Glacier and Chief have recently been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm tested (negative), and are taking monthly flea and heartworm prevention. They are ready to go home today!

They are in a foster home in Chicago and can be seen by appointment only after applying. For more information or an application, please email palsplace1@hotmail.com or visit palsplacerescue.org. Unfortunately, we cannot place holds on our dogs for any reason. Please do not apply unless you are willing and prepared to welcome a dog into your home within three days of applying.
