Are you looking for a playpal for your energetic pet? Look no further! Avi is a confident, smart acrobat of an orange tabby who's looking for his new best friend. He has a TON of energy and will play with you as long as you let him, flying and tumbling through the air to catch a favorite toy. He spends all day running around the home with his foster brother in-between sunny naps. He is very friendly with new people he meets, and with careful introductions, he gets along with other high-energy felines in the home. Avi spends most of his days playing and lounging with his foster brother Rafe, and we’d love to see them adopted together.
We haven't seen Avi interact with dogs, but we think that he'd do well with any furry friend who wants to play. He's a quick study who can learn tricks if you want to show off to your friends a little. Of course, they'll be ooh-ing and aah-ing at his dapper coat when he happily greets each of them for a head pat when they first meet.
Avi likes to be close to his people and might follow you from room to room, setting up somewhere comfortable to watch birds through a window while you go about your day. He usually stays close enough to accept a good scritch under the chin or behind his ear. Pick him up, and he'll gladly soak in the sights at your eye level...until he's ready to go exploring on the ground for treats! He's even harness-trained and loves to explore outside when given the chance. Avi is very adaptable to new environments and loves exploring new spaces.

A few footnotes regarding the care of this fabulous feline. Avi loves to explore the world through his chompers, and he will try to eat small plastic and rubber items he finds around the house; it's important that his new home is kept tidy of any potential hazards. Avi exhibits more of this behavior when he's an only cat, so we think it would be best if he were adopted with his foster brother, Rafe. Avi is very assertive when he needs some space, so he may not be suited for a home with very young children who push his boundaries.
