My story

Welcome Choppo to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 4-year-old beauty. He looks like a Plott Hound and maybe Great Pyrenees. The extra toes on the back feet are a part of the GP breed. He is good with Elizabeth and nice to Vangu at the Rescue. He is a confident boy and would be a nice moderately active dog for some family. He is nice to all people and the only thing we noticed is he didn’t want any scarf or bow tie around his neck. I assume he was caught by the pound with something strong around his neck. He remembers that and he doesn’t like it now. He wasn’t mean but he ducked his head and really squirmed to not have the tie so we decided to let him go without it. He is gorgeous and has a very shinny and beautiful coat. He is good in his kennel and he is kenneled with Elizabeth. He is about 60 pounds and a has a nice muscular physique. He would make a nice walking, jogging or hiking companion. He is a really nice boy and will make some lucky family a great companion. He can be with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is up on his vaccinations, healthy, neutered and ready for his forever home. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 250 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states

More about this rescue

C.C.P.A.L. seeks to reduce the enormous problem of pet overpopulation in Bandera County We promote low-cost spay/neuter programs; advise on basic health care & proper shelter for pets & offer excellent dog obedience classes several times each year. Since 2002, CCPAL has rescued nearly 5,000 animals. We are in constant need of foster homes for these pets until we find them homes. Our pets are in kennels on an acreage in Texas. We can use a transporter to get them outside of Texas if we find a great home.
