Let's talk about Apple for a moment! This sweet, but sooo shy girl has climbed mountains to get to where she is now! She came into our care as an extremely fearful pup who was scared to death of human touch!! After months of rehabilitation with our volunteers, boarding friends at Adventure Pet Resort, and months with her foster family we can now say that once she warms up to you she is a completely different dog.
Apple is still fearful of new people, but doesn't take long to warm up to them as she did before. A few days of some high value treats, TLC and patience, and she will be your best friend in no time. She is a loving, playful, happy, and loveable dog. She likes to meet her foster mama at the door with huge tail wags. She bounces up and down at dinner time.
She MUST go to a home with another social dog she can continue to learn from and boost her confidence with. She would do fine in a home with older children who know and understand a dog's space must be respected.
We do not know how she is with cats or other small mammals.
Apple is estimated to have been born in September 2021 - she is still very young and eager to learn and please.
