My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you’re looking for a petite adult pup, Sadie Ann is your girl 😍

This beautiful pup was found stray on the streets of Alabama where she was being fed by good samaritans, but nobody could catch her for several months. Once her trust was earned and she was caught, she was surrendered to Dixie Girl to live the good life with one of our foster parents! 🏡

Sadie Ann is the perfect “travel sized” pup and she knows it! She is a small-breed terrier mix, weighing in at only 27lbs full grown! She loves sitting in her foster mom’s lap and going for car rides. Now that she is safe in a foster home, her personality has really started to come out and her foster mom says she’s an active, affectionate pup that has a little bit of sassiness to her! 🤪

Sadie Ann loves other dogs once they have a formal introduction, but is not a fan of off-leash approaches (who can blame her!?) So proper intros with her puppy friends is going to be important. She thinks that kids are the BEST playmates & has no experience with cats yet, so we would say she probably needs a meet and greet before going to a home with kitties. 🐶🐱

This sweet girl is crate trained, potty trained, and walks well on a leash! She isn’t super comfortable on leash yet but her foster mom says she’s making great progress and really hits her stride once the walk starts! Sadie Ann told us to keep an eye out for an active family with a big fenced in yard where she can play with a fur sibling, and sun tan of course! ☀️

If you’re looking for a pint-sized, feisty companion, Sadie Ann is your girl!💕
