My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looking for an adopter for Midge.

-Female

-13 years old

-Does not play well with others at all. Most likely needs to be the only dog in the home.

-She is overweight which gives her a waddle when she walks. Will need a consistent diet to lose/maintain weight.

-She has been sad since her owner's death. Then the death of her owner's daughter who took her in. Midge has since been shuffled back an forth between two family households. One household, the man has medical issues and can’t care for her. At the other household, another family dog had puppies, so they have to be carefull Midge doesn't get anywhere near them.

-Midge needs extra patience to work through the grief she suffers and being bounced around. She craves a soft permanent place to land where she can begin to feel safe again.

-Midge responds better to the women than the men in her life. She would do very well with an older woman who spends most of her days at home.

-She is sweet most of the time but does tend to get grouchy and may be nippy at time of discomfort or fear.

-She is oh so pretty and has an infectious smile.

-Sometimes she likes to "talk" a lot.

-Her favorite position?  Tummy rub position!

-Midge is spayed and utd on vaccs. We will have her fully vetted and chipped before placing her.

-Midge is being fostered in Otis.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

-secure fenced in yard
-commitment to exercise her slowly and maintain good diet.
-no other pets in the home
-kids 10+
-herding breed experience
-kind and loving heart to make a senior gal feel safe and loved again.

We require our meet and greet application as the first step. It can be completed at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Midge’s adoption fee is $150 and we are not doing any out of state adoptions.
