My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweetie Sweetart is sweetheart! Sweetart landed at GGOH coming from a colony - she was brought in with three siblings.

Sweetart is a quiet and somewhat shy girl - at first. Once she gets to know you though, she's all about the lovin'. She's not always the first to be noticed due to her quiet nature so if you visit us, don't be surprised if you have to take a few moments to seek her out - she's worth that little extra effort though, trust us on that one.

Sweetart does okay with kids but the loudness and high energy of youngsters can sometimes be off-putting to her. She'd be great with older kids - over the age of 5.
She is great with other cats and adjusts quickly to new kitties introduced to her. Dogs are an unknown but we don't anticipate any issues.

Sweetart is one of our FIP warriors - she beat that bully of a disease and is all clear. We can give you a more detailed picture of what her treatment was when you visit but just let it be known, she has a long worry-free life ahead of her. She's happy and healthy and ready to find her forever family. We don't like to dwell on this aspect of her care too much, but we also like to be up-front about it as we're not the kind of rescue that withholds or hides information from our prospective adopters. Everything is laid on the table so you can make an informed decision.

One other thing to mention is that Sweetart does have a little bit of a head tilt and at the moment, some thin hair - both are the results of what she's battled and won (FIP, a bout of toxoplasmosis, and a reaction to skin mites - yep, she had a rough beginning, no doubt!). Her head tilt will likely remain for life but it does not cause her any trouble (she moves like any cat would - runs, jumps, climbs, and uses her litter box), and her hair will continue to fill out and she'll soon be sporting a full-length coat.

Sweetart's DOB is approx. 7/29/2021.

We hope you'll give Sweetart the chance she deserves to win you over - she really is worth it - she's pretty amazing.
