Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Penny Ann Petunia had a rough start at things but she doesn’t let it get her down. At 5 years old she had been neglected and left to fend for herself. She had emergency surgery as she wasn't spayed and developed pyometra. She also got 4 teeth pulled and now she hangs out at her foster family’s house waiting for her forever home.
Her foster family loves her but the older cats are not fond of a happy go lucky pup around. Penny loves to play with the younger cat in the house but alas, has not been able to win over the older kitties. Penny really is quite the passive pup and is a great blend of couch potato and active dog. She enjoys cats (who do not attack her) and other small animals, but does not seem to enjoy other dogs. She is good with kids, and she lives with a very active toddler although she is still learning what toys are hers vs the baby's.
She knows sit, shake and leave it. She is doing well on walks (as long as she doesn’t see another dog) and is very eager to please. She would love a yard to run and play in and loves the game of fetch.
She is a good protector of her family when new people show up, but it is all bark and she is easily won over with a treat or some play time.
Penny is all done with her medical and ready to find forever. If she sounds like the one for you, fill out an application:
