My story

When Wilson first arrived to his foster home, he was so scared of everything, especially people! Now he is a purr-bug, loves treats, and likes to play. He is still a little skittish if you dont take your time with him but he is getting better all the time! Fill out an application to meet Wilson or call 309-565-4821 for more information.

More about this shelter

Stray Animal Midway Shelter (SAMS) was incorporated in 2010 with our focus being spay neuter assistance. In Noovember of 2013 SAMS purchased property and now operates as a no-kill shelter in Peoria County. We work closely with local and surrounding county shelters and obtain healthy and adoptable pets that would otherwise be euthanized for lack of space. SAMS receives no funding from government, state, county or municiple entities and are funded solelyby fundraising and donations. You can help by volunteering, adopting and donating to our cause.
