My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ryder!!! He is a handsome Lab/Shepherd Mix. Really, he is just an older gentleman who enjoys the simpler things in life, like napping in the sun and begging for treats. He is not very high energy but gets excited for walks and the occasional zoomies during play. Ryder is on a poultry free diet. He would prefer a home with adults or older children and a fenced in yard. Ryder is house trained, neutered, current on vaccines and microchipped.
Skin allergies; cannot have anything with chicken/duck/turkey in it. Has medical waiver the adopter must sign before adopting.

Additional adoption info

We require an in-person application for all dogs and cats. A home visit will be required for larger dogs, who require a fenced in yard. Our animals are only adopted out after they have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Our adoption fees are $80 for cats and $110+ for dogs. Puppies are $130. Cash, check, credit or debit card are all accepted. Sometimes the fee will be higher for a dog, if it is a purebred. We would like to keep our adoptions local; in the event the adoption does not work out, the animal must come back to us. Adopters must sign an agreement to this effect. We do consider out of state adopters, please phone us before coming. We are a private shelter run mostly by volunteers. Please be patient if we take a little time to respond. Volunteers check emails and respond to phone calls.

Those adopting a cat must bring a carrier to transport the cat home safely.
