Anyone that spends a few minutes with Taffy falls in love. Taffy has spent almost a year with her foster mom and foster doggie brother, but she has learned so much and is ready for her forever home!! She’s such a charmer with her silly, happy, sweet, clumsy and playful personality.
Her adorable floppy ears move every which way; she’s a wiggly girl and her tail is always wagging. Taffy is so full of love to give and just wants to be by her human’s side. Taffy is super smart, walks great on a leash, is a high energy bouncy dog and the sweetest snuggly marshmallow you’ll ever meet.
Taffy needs a strong handler with the patience to let her settle into a new place, have an established routine, and hopefully let her have plenty of time out of the crate and with her people. She has some anxiety and fear reactivity with other dogs. She is also very trainable and can be easily corrected.
Taffy loves hard, plays hard and trains hard. She is so eager to please you, and consistent training helps her focus on a job. She’s super smart and knows so many commands thanks to the hard work of her foster mama, who she constantly surprises and exceeds the expectations of. If you’re willing to work with Taffy and do what she needs to set her up for success, she will pay you back with the unconditional love of a great dog with a unique bond that is so very special. She needs very slow introductions with other dogs, NO cats for this lady, and no younger kids (her strong wiggly excitement may knock them over unintentionally, and her love of all toys may cause a sharing issue).
Taffy is an all around great dog who just needs the right direction and guidance of a strong handler. Her foster mama is donating a free private session with Taffy’s recent trainer who’s been helping her get more exposure around other dogs. She’s been doing so well, and starting her new adopters off with a trainer that knows Taffy will set her up for success in her new home!!!

Thank you for taking the time to consider adopting one of our dogs! Our process for adopting one of our dogs starts with filling out our adoption application. Please take time doing this because it gives us a better understanding of who you are and what type of dog may fit your family. Once your adoption application is completed, our adoption coordinator will reach out to you. Please understand that we are an all-volunteer rescue, so it may take up to 72 hours for you to receive a response. We will get back to you, we promise!
Once you hear from our adoption coordinator, you can expect to schedule a home visit. This is a
mandatory part of our process, but only takes about a half hour of your time. During this time, we will discuss ways to welcome your new family member into your home and review improvements that may help make the transition an easy one.
Please note that completing the application and home visit process, does not mean that you are
obligated to adopt with us. It just means that you are working through the process to be approved for a new family member. If we do not have a furry friend that interests you right now, don’t worry! Unless there are changes with your family and/or home, this process will not have to be repeated.
