Princess lost her home when her owner had to go into a nursing home after a debilitating stroke and won't be able to ever return home. She was his only companion. The woman who was his caretaker has taken Princess into her home in Linglestown out of the goodness of her heart until she can find a permanent place for her. She didn't want Princess to be put outside, but she can't keep her due to her landlord situation.

Princess, as her name implies, can be a bit of a prima donna. She is, after all, at least partly a calico, and a lovely one! She's very curious and fearless. She doesn't like to be picked up but will tolerate a little petting and affection. If she likes you, she'll show it. If not, well ...

Additional adoption info

We offer an online adoption application at www.castwaycritters.org. We do check references, vet references, and housechecks. Once you are approved, you will be required to fill out an adoption agreement. Our animals have all been wormed, altered and vaccinated. Cats have been tested for FIV/FeLV. For more information, see our website at www.castawaycritters.org.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

All of our animals are in foster care so please complete an application at our website (www.castawaycritters.org) before meeting them. Completing an application does not obligate you to adopt; however, it is required. Applications are processed in the order received in an effort to find the best match possible for both the dog and the adopter.

Please also check out our events page on our website as fosters sometimes bring their available animals out to meet people!

More about this rescue

We are a non-profit rescue group that takes in stray, abandoned, and sick animals, giving them medical and foster care until available for adoption. We offer low cost spay/neuter clinics to the public and a special program called Operation CatNIP for pet cats of low income qualified individuals and feral cats, and assist in TNR for cats.
