My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Courtesy post for Brody's owners. In need of new home ASAP Cell: 301-775-6181 or 240-595-0168 Email: kelseychalkley@aol.com or tommyboyer40@icloud.com Location: carroll county We have had Brody for 6 years, he will be 7 on November 8th. We rescued him when he was 8 weeks from what we think was an Amish puppy mill. He did not know how to walk and just fell to the ground when put on all fours. They were also feeding him adult dog food so it took us a little to train his belly. This farm had about 12 little kids running around and the man who gave us Brody had white hair which later led to some behavioral issues we found with Brody. As he got older he was very timid around kids and older men with white hair and would become aggressive towards them such as barking, snarling, and the hair on his back would stand up. We thought by bringing him home so early at 8 weeks that he would forget his trauma but he did not. Brody also developed separation anxiety which led to chewing, we would have to put him in a crate but then he got crate aggressive. We finally sent him away to training for 3 weeks; he came back and hasn’t chewed anything he isn’t since, although if you leave trash out, he will find it! They worked on his crate aggression and it is better, he still just doesn’t like being in one. Brody plays great with other female dogs and smaller male dogs, he becomes timid around other male dogs his size. Brody does not do well around children which is why we have to find another loving home for our first fur baby. Brody has nipped at 2 children, both leaving scratch marks. He does not have any medical concerns and has been neutered since 2 years old. He is up to date on vaccines except for DA2PPL. Brody loves playing outside with his ball and running around, he is very energetic but also a 70 pound cuddle bug (he thinks he’s a lap dog)! He loves riding in the car and feeling the wind between his ears. He would be an amazing addition to anyone without children and who have the time to give him the attention he deserves, he has been a challenging pup but has unconditional love, We wouldn’t have traded our time with him for the world. This is a courtesy post and not an AAHA dog. Owners will screen adopters
