What will she bring to your life? She’ll bring the serenity and wisdom of age (she’s 7-8 years old). She’ll bring peace and quiet, as she does not howl, meow, or ever complain! She’ll bring endearing quirks: When she’s hungry, she’ll appear and wait patiently until you notice! She’ll make you laugh when she hits the TV screen if she sees waving hands, or when she attacks paper bags in an effort to remove their contents! She’ll lean in to give you an appreciative head-bump if you put your face up to hers. She’ll delight in a good belly rub. She’ll sit or sleep near you when you’re hanging out on your sofa. Toothless, she might stick her pink tongue out when she sleeps. And, she has the softest fur! All this, IF you can love her as she is. She doesn’t like to be picked up at all and, not a lap cat, she accepts affection on her terms. Shy at first, she needs a patient, understanding cat person in a quiet home. As her fosterers report: “She’s a really sweet cat who just takes time to adjust to new surroundings, so the adopter needs to be committed to building a relationship with her over time and not expect instant gratification.”

All cats and kittens are vaccinated and tested for FELV (feline leukemia) and FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), and if old enough, are neutered or spayed.
We will ask you some questions about your home and we will be glad to answer any questions you may have. Adopting a pet is a long-term commitment. We ask you to sign the KittyKind Adoption Agreement.
We will always take a cat back FOR ANY REASON. We will also work with you to place her in another good home if (after a period of adjustment) the adoption doesn't work out.
We do ask for a $125 adoption fee to help cover some of our food and veterinary expenses. For certain purebred cats (Siamese, Persian, Maine Coon, etc.), we request a $150 - $300 adoption fee.

KittyKind is a New York City not-for-profit, no-kill, all-volunteer cat rescue and adoption group. All of us at KittyKind have opened our hearts and homes — and emptied our pockets — to save thousands of cats from neglect or abuse. Every cat we rescue is given food, shelter, medical care, a safe place to lay his or her head and most importantly of all, a reason to purr. We believe that we must take responsibility for the life of every animal we rescue who through no fault of their own, is abandoned, sick, disabled, old or unable to care for themselves. We are dedicated to relieving their suffering, providing food, shelter, medical care and comfort until we can place them in a safe and loving home.
