Red is a stunning young man, who unfortunately has had one unsuccessful placement. Absolutely no fault of his own, and I'm excited for his future once he finds his true successful match.

Red is a large, exuberant boy. He's your typical teenager, and craves rules, boundaries, and structure, in order to make successful choices and be the absolute best version of himself that he can be. Red absolutely loves all people, and all children of all sizes! It is extremely important that his future home, should children be present, that they take the time to enforce boundaries, and do not allow him to have freedoms where he can practice unsafe behaviors. He is ruff and tumble, and has been allowed to practice some rude behaviours. I have complete confidence in him, that with a dedicated home, he will be a child's best friend!

Red has also been allowed to chase cats. He is not aggressive, but sees them as something he can engage with in an inappropriate way. Giving his personality, in a home with dog savvy cats, that will actually follow boundaries, and enforce restrictions until he has earned freedom, I believe he would be successful. You will need to keep him on leash, and correct any chase behaviors, until he is 100% ignoring the cats. This will take time and commitment, so I will only consider homes with cats, that I believe will hold him properly accountable for his actions.

Red is a big boy, and quite tall. He likes to throw his weight around, and is relearning that all 4 paws must stay on the floor. He is extremely affectionate, loves cuddles, and is always up for kisses!

Red's crate-training is a work in progress. He is relearning that it is a place to be calm, and relaxed. His new home must be committed to working with him to ensure he regains this skill and is kept safe.

Red is an athletic boy, with lots of get-up-and-go! He's just learned to swim, and enjoys it! He is working on building toy drive, and has decent food drive. He also enjoys flirt pole/chase, and I'm sure will enjoy lure coursing as well! He's full of potential, and could go in lots of directions. He loves hiking, and will go all day. He settles well in the house, and is generally one of the quieter dogs here at Inugoya.
