My story

Looking for a big boy with a sweet and curious disposition? Eustace could be the cat for you!

This husky boy is looking for a forever family to spoil him with all of the attention, love, and playtime that he desires. Eustace is a shorthair gray tuxedo cat around 6 years old and weighs in at 15 lbs. Years of untreated diabetes (now in remission!) may impact his mobility from time to time, but he gets around no problem —though his running now somewhat resembles the galumphing of an elephant!

Eustace loves to roll around chasing a feather wand or laser pointer, and especially likes to sit by his favorite human(s) or on a windowsill and watch the world outside go by. Once he gets to know you Eustace is a very friendly, however, he has also been known to have a mischievous streak and can get a little mouthy, so he would be most comfortable in an home without children where can be spoiled as the only pet.

Eustace doesn't mind being on his own for longer stretches of time, but he very much adores attention and is very persistent about his requests for head scratches or playtime. If you work from home or are home more often, Eustace has been known to guilt a person or two into some extra treat time, so be sure to stay strong!

Eustace no longer requires daily injections of insulin (another yay for remission!), but he should continue to have a managed diet, and his forever family should be prepared to have a close relationship with a full-service veterinarian to continue monitoring his blood sugar and staying on top of his care.
