My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Juni is approximately 2 years old, has youthful energy, slim and very athletic. She has stunning blue eyes and looks like she is mixed with another breed as her nose is a bit longer than the typical husky. Juni came to Norsled with some basic training down - she is currently working on additional training and learning manners at her foster home. Her foster parents say she is an incredibly smart dog who takes to training very quickly - she is treat motivated (plain boiled chicken breast is her highest value reward), and she very clearly wants to please her human.

Juni has a very playful personality, likes to play tug of war with a rope, and will even fetch a toy and bring it back for another toss. She can occupy herself upon occasion, so plenty of chewable toys and passive entertainment will help her do great when human attention isn't available. Juni will let you brush her teeth, and she is good with grooming by husky standards. She is a very good-natured girl who loves attention and deeply bonds with her human. Once she settles down after meeting you, she is extremely loving and loves to give kisses. Juni sticks to her human like a magnet, and is constantly in tune with what her human is up to. She likes to stay in the loop.

Juni is completely crate trained, house broken, and does great in the car. She is the perfect running and hiking partner, perfect for an active family. She would be well suited with another dog who is high energy and playful as she would love to tussle for hours!

Why adoption is a great option

Juniper, a Walnut Creek Siberian Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siberian Husky for sale in Walnut Creek, or seeking a Siberian Husky dog from a breeder in Walnut Creek.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Walnut Creek already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Walnut Creek breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siberian Husky breeders who help with Siberian Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Walnut Creek paves the way for another one to be saved.
