My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Fawna

Fawna is an adorable older girl, (7-ish years old), thought to be a Chihuahua mix. She is however larger than the typical Chihuahua weighing about 18 lbs.

Clearly Fawna has had a difficult life and we are not sure she had ever seen a vet prior to joining our Rescue.

Fawna is very sweet, gentle, and timid. She is fine with other dogs but younger energetic dogs would be too much for her; an older, calmer dog would be ideal. Fawna is also wonderful with people who are as calm as she is. Smaller children would be too energetic for her, but older children who are respectful of senior dogs, should be fine.

An ideal home for Fawna is with a quiet family who will incorporate her into their lifestyle, give her plenty of love and attention, and provide exceptional care (including veterinary care) through her twilight years.

Overall Fawna is in good health. She has had recent bloodwork and a dental including all necessary extractions. We do believe however that her vision might be less than perfect.

Of course Fawna is up-to-date on all vaccinations spayed, microchipped, and heartworm negative, taking year-round heartworm prevention.
