Dogs - YES
Cats/Birds/Small Critters - NO

Lily, or BILLS! - as her foster mom likes to call her - is one of the sweetest girls we have ever met! She is low to medium energy, enjoys romping around with her dog pals, does amazing at doggy day care and is a happy and polite girl! She is a little hesitant when meeting new people, and may use her voice to bark and ask for space - but within a few minutes and some liver bites, she will be jumping for joy being in your presence! Her ideal home would be outside of the busy city, as she likes a calm and relaxed environment surrounded by nature! Although she does like to chase squirrels and bunnies and bikes, so a treat pouch and redirection will keep her focussed on her hooman. Her being of medium-size and energy level makes her a great candidate for a house or condo-living too! She is very low-key at home, is crate trained, and just passed her intermediate behavioural training with flying colours! Although initially afraid of cars, she is now embracing car rides (although still likes to be carried into one, lol). She is very food motivated and eager to please. She would be an amazing companion to a single person, or a couple who is looking for a snuggle buddy who would enjoy a few walks a day and some backyard playdates or doggy day care few times a week. For a young dog especially, she is as low-maintenance as they come 🙂 She enjoys playing with other dogs, but needs a minute to warm up to new dogs she meets. She prefers to meet off-leash vs. on-leash where she has the freedom to interact at her own pace and freely! She was previously thought to have 'only child syndrome' when it comes to the idea of having fursiblings, but it turns out she just has a preference... she gets along great with smaller breed males in the home and takes on the role of big sis/mom and its the most adorable thing we have ever seen 😍
Lily has been spayed, health checked, and up to date on all vaccinations and is more than ever ready to find her furever home! Thanks to her AMAZING foster mom, she had the softest landing and has learned a lot of skills and basic training and how it feels to be a cherished member of a family. She's ready to steal your heart and home. Who's looking for a little Lily in their life? 😍 Iff you live within 2 - 3 hours of Toronto and are interested in meeting sweet Lily and learning about our foster to adopt trial program, please email our rescue at c4ptoronto@gmail.com.

More about this rescue

CAUSE 4 PAWS is a not for profit group in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We work with animal rescuers to help facilitate the rescue and adoption/foster of abused and/or homeless and abandoned animals and assist with the coordination and placement of these animals in forever homes. We only serve the Greater Toronto Area.

We predominantly rescue dogs. Our animals are adopted directly from foster care in most cases. We do not have a shelter.

We also work with a few partnering rescues in Ontario, US, and over seas. We cherish the relationships we have established and work very closely with these partners in order to facilitate a successful adoption. We are serious about our ad process and want only the best for our animals. We focus on finding the best fit for both animal and adoptee.

Cause 4 Paws is looking for volunteers to help with many different tasks such as administrative, transportation, fostering, fundraising etc. Please contact us if you are interested in helping in any way. To donate to our organization you may use our PayPal email address.
