My story

ZENA
Gender: Female
Age: 3 years
Weight: 86 lbs
Personality: Loving, sweet, independent
Training: In training

This tall and gorgeous girl is ZENA! She is a total love bug and loves to meet new people. She will gladly lean up against you for all the love and affection you have to offer! Zena wants to be the center of your universe, so she would prefer a home where she can be the only pet. She loves to see the great outdoors and join you on your daily adventures, but she'd be happy with a few short walks a day around the neighborhood followed up by a good snooze at home! If you are still rocking the work from home life, then look no further for your next companion! Once adopted, Zena is eligible for 6 weeks of free training in our Prison Training Program! If you are ready for an easy-going and people-loving girl, apply to adopt Zena today!

More about this rescue

Paws For Life K9 Rescue pulls its dogs from high-kill shelters. Often, we choose dogs that would most likely be euthanized at the shelter. We do this because our trainers can dedicate all of their time to their rehabilitation. After several months of training, our dogs are ready for family life after completing their AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification. Some are trained to become service animals for military veterans with PTSD. By lowering euthanasia rates and preparing dogs for service-jobs, PFL is proving that everyone deserves a second chance.
