Age: 13.5 years old Weight: 15 pounds Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Unknown Kid friendly: Unknown Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes but doesn’t need one ** fenced yard and no stairs required ** Jasmine is a sweet gentle old soul. She is a 13.5 yr old pekingese and weights 15 pounds. She was surrendered by her elderly owner who was unable to take care of her. Jasmine is as sweet as they come. She is content to be the only dog or with some calm doggie friends. She is very quite, loves to be brushed and will fall asleep while you are brushing her and will sit on your lap as long as you will let her. She shouldn't be left loose around any open stairs as she wobbles (back legs have luxating petellas) when she walks and could fall down the stairs. She does get around pretty good on a flat surface and does walk on a leash fairly well. At night Jasmine will sleep in a dog bed or a blanket on the floor next to your bed. It is so cute to watch her sleep as she sticks out her tongue while sleeping and will snore sometimes. She knows her name and will come when called.

**Note on breed and age determination:
Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners. Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.
ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:
- Wellness check
- Spay/neuter (puppies adopted with required spay/neuter certificate)
- Age appropriate vaccines - rabies as required by law and distemper combo or proof of positive titer test
- Heartworm test if over 7 months of age
- Fecal test and/or deworming for parasites
- Microchip ​
~ Healing Hearts rescue will also provide dental procedures, bloodwork, surgeries, and/or any other additional vet work as needed while dogs are in our care.
