My story

Meet Wally, Wally is a wonderful mix of some kind of adorable. HE IS ONE CUTE DOG, with a BIG personality.

Wally, with his perpetual smile, enjoys every minute of every day. He can light up a room.

Wally is a fun loving guy who loves to run and who would benefit from an active lifestyle. Wally is highly trainable, whether its tricks, or competitive dog sports, he's all in.

He is silly, friendly, and for a compact guy, has a huge personality!!

Wally is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested and chipped.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Where do your dogs come from? Our dogs come from local shelters, or they are surrendered to us by their owners. What are your adoption fees, and what do they include? Our adoption donation fees: Non bully adults - $400.00 Non bully puppies - $500.00 Bully and Bully X puppies - $300.00 Bully and Bully X adults - $250.00 All dogs are spayed/neutered accordingly, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, dewormed for internal parasites and treated for fleas if necessary. Puppies have age appropriate vaccines and will be adopted on a spay/neuter agreement. Bully and Bully x's will be microchipped as well. Can I see come down to see a dog that I like? Our rescue does not have a “facility” where the dogs can be seen. We rely on our volunteer foster homes to care for our dogs. Once your application has been approved and processed, you will be contacted by a volunteer to set up a home visit. All family members who reside in the home must be present for the home visit.

More about this rescue

lmost Home Rescue (AHR) is a non profit dog rescue serving Rhode Island, Connecticut and New York. All donations are tax deductible. AHR is comprised of a small, yet dedicated group of volunteers who devote their free time to rescuing, rehabilitating-if necessary- and rehoming dogs in need. Our dogs come from various local shelters and in some cases are owner surrendered due to a variety of circumstances like divorce, moving or death, as well as a whole list of lame excuses. We do not maintain a shelter so all of our dogs live in foster care until they can be placed in the right home. We can only take in as many dogs as we have an open home for, and therefore we welcome new foster applicants so we can help place more dogs who are in jeopardy of losing their lives. We do not discriminate against dogs because of age or breed. When deciding what dogs we will accept into our program, we judge by dogs' temperaments, not by how they look. Some of our favorite breeds* to work with include: Rottweiler, Mastiff, Doberman, Boxer & All Bully Breeds *We will accept small breed dogs at times, but a large breed dog will always take preference when we have an opening at a foster home. In addition to finding forever families for our rescues, and providing safe foster homes for all dogs currently in our care, we are committed to educating the public by providing accurate information about the above mentioned breeds that are so undeservingly misrepresented.
